Third picture in 4 days? I think I must be going insane. This picture is the result of a creative high being mixed in with inspirational music (in this case, "Valentine's Day" by Linkin Park, "Forsaken" by Dream Theater and "Redefine" by SOiL).
Let me introduce you to two new characters of mine, which are very much straight off the drawing board. We have the annoyed looking skater, Ryder, and his most unwanted guest to his body, Schree, a demoness.
An odd couple, I'm sure you'll agree. There is a very rough story for the two at the moment. Essentially, Ryder discovers his lovely girlfriend is being unfaithful to him and seeing his best friend, making Ryder go a tad crazy. Just when he begins to start calming down, Schree (who has been watching him for the last few days) decides Ryder would be the ideal host body for her.
Cue some problems, as Ryder wants revenge, but also wants his girl back, and so Schree decides to offer her services and advice (whether he likes it or not). The thing is, is Schree helping to patch things up, or does she have a darker agenda?
Lets speak art-wise now. The piece took about 2 days to do, and invovles a couple of recycled Fractals from other pictures of mine.
The picture took a while to complete for one reason; how to get past Schree's lack of clothes! I mean, I'm a rather "no nudity" person when I draw, but I wanted to try and be sexily-suggestive but yet not overly crude in this picture. I think the result came out alright (thank the fluff!).
As for the rest of the image, it was my usualy colouring system and texturing with both texture-brushes and hand-drawn parts.
Overall, I'm really pleased how the whole picture came out. I may make Ryder and Schree regulars yet. I haven't decided on that yet.
This is just fantastic, Leigh. Brillaint work on both characters, again you've been busy with the lighting and fur effects.
Expressions wise, Ryder has the perfect look of revenge, while Schree is simply devilish. I think you nailed the suggestive yet toned-down body too.
The background tells the story, I lreally like what you've done there, with the black/red for Schree's darkness and the blue/white for Ryder's lightness. Much kudos for sticking the lineart only version in there too, it shows very well how this pic progressed.
Brillaint stuff, Leigh. More please! thumbsup:
